Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily personal care activities, such as washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support residents with mobility, including using hoists or walking aids as required.
- Serve meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being, reporting any changes to senior staff or nurses.
- Help residents participate in social and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Follow all safeguarding and health & safety protocols.
- Respect residents’ rights, privacy, and dignity at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a care setting (preferred but not essential).
- SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- A kind, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Right to work in the UK (or applicable country).
Desirable Attributes:
- First Aid and Manual Handling Training.
- Understanding of dementia and elderly care.
- Calm under pressure and able to respond to emergencies appropriately.
